How often should gutters be cleaned?
At least twice a year, ideally late autumn and late winter. Homes under gum trees, jacarandas or plane trees often need it every three to four months.
Do you clean downpipes too?
Yes. We flush the downpipes to make sure water runs freely, and clear blockages we can reach.
Do I need to be home?
Usually not, as long as we can get to the house and there are no pets loose in the yard. We send photos when we are done.
Why clean gutters before bushfire season?
Dry leaves in gutters can catch embers. Clearing them before summer is a simple step recommended for homes near bushland.
