Hedges are what people see first at the front of a house, and an overgrown one makes the whole property look neglected. We trim privacy hedges, front borders and feature shrubs to a clean line, keeping the base slightly wider than the top so light reaches the lower leaves and the hedge stays full from the ground up.
We work with the plants that fill Sydney gardens: lilly pilly, murraya, photinia, viburnum, buxus, pittosporum, westringia and camellia. That includes ball and topiary shaping for potted and feature plants, and bringing back hedges that have been left for a couple of seasons.

How often?
Two to four trims a year keeps most hedges tidy. Fast growers such as lilly pilly and murraya may need a trim every six to eight weeks over summer.

When is the best time to trim a hedge in Sydney?
Late spring and late summer are ideal for most hedges. A light shape-up can be done any time, but avoid hard cuts in the middle of a heatwave.
Do you take the clippings away?
Yes. Every clipping is raked from beds, lawns and paths and taken with us.
Can you cut down a hedge that has got too tall?
Yes. We can reduce height and width. For a big reduction we may do it over two visits so the hedge recovers well.
Do you remove trees?
We prune shrubs and small trees within reach. Large tree removal or work near power lines needs a qualified arborist, and we are happy to say so up front.
